Delete Your Account

You can delete your Ascend Golf account and request removal of your personal data at any time. This page explains how to do that and what happens when you do.
1. How to Delete Your Account
You have two ways to delete your account:
Option 1: Delete from inside the app
- Open the Ascend Golf app
- Go to the Profile tab
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Option 2: Request deletion by email
- Send an email to help@ascendgolftraining.com
- Use the subject line: Delete My Account
- Include the email address associated with your Ascend Golf account so we can locate it
We will process email deletion requests within 2 business days. In-app deletions are processed immediately.
2. What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your account profile, including name, email, and password
- Your saved profile information such as skill level, handicap, and goals
- Your round and shot data, including scores, tags, and notes
- Your performance ratings and history
- Any preferences or settings tied to your account
3. What May Be Retained
In limited cases, we may retain certain information after account deletion, including:
- Records required by law or for tax, accounting, or legal compliance purposes
- Information needed to resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or prevent fraud
- Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies you personally
- Backup copies that are automatically purged on our standard backup retention schedule
4. How Long Deletion Takes
Most data is removed from our active systems immediately upon deletion. Residual data in backups is purged within 90 days as backups are rotated. If you delete your account and later sign up again with the same email address, a new account will be created and your old data will not be restored.
5. Before You Delete
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before you delete, please be aware that:
- You will lose access to your entire round history, ratings, and any progress tracked in the app
- Active subscriptions will not automatically be cancelled. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store before deleting your account
- If you signed up using a third-party login such as Google or Apple, deleting your Ascend Golf account does not delete those linked accounts
